02/22/2005: "Mom Went to the Doctor"

Yes, Mom went to the doctor today. Good thing, or I wouldn't have thought to get her some Vicks Vaporub. Hooray for Dad getting her to go.... even if they had to sit in the ER for four hours......

She has an upper respiratory infection. Lungs are clear. So, we should be back to normal soon. None to quick with BigSis due in next week and our ladies' retreat this weekend.

I'm looking forward to the retreat. Don't know why. My expectations are for a pleasant surprise and a moving experience. You cain't nebber no.

The idea tomorrow is to get some pics to put up of the trailers here so those who have visited can see the changes, and those who have not can see where we and Mom and Dad are. Some things that have been done this winter: #27--had carpet taken up, floor covered and tiled; furniture in LR removed and replaced with jackknife couch and 'puter chair; smaller tv on counter, and stove top covered with marbled stone; wallpaper brightening kitchen walls; curtains removed, blinds installed; outer stairs turned, painted, extended and tiled; outside bleached and blue repainted green; corn plants trimmed up to FL style; palms planted on parking side. #55--cutains replaced with blinds; outside bleached and yellow repainted aqua; storage shed painted aqua; cedars removed and replaced with palms; patio floor painted; steps painted, anchored. Next year is #55 flooring and bleaching both again most likely. Hopefully the palms will all live and won't need replaced. Hopefully blinds won't get too hot and droop and require replacement.

So.... anyhoo.... we'll be headed back in a couple weeks. Hope there is a start to some green back home by then.... sure will miss this weather and freedom and walking and biking and swimming and living next to Mom and Dad. But, life is.
