02/26/2005: "Wimmens Treat"
Today wasthe Women's Retreat. Last year I called it LuAnn's retreat.....
The food, made by caterers from Chicago (grandkids of some residents) was a real treat. The decorations were beautiful.
All that said, I wasn't supposed to say that. I'm supposed to tell about the spirit of the retreat and the challenge presented. It's personal. I'm sure each person was touched, each in their own special way. Marie, I think, was slightly surprised to know I can still pout in fun.
Check out this place: Collingsworth's
Order the disk with Battle of Jericho on it, and you have only begun to experience the musical magic. I'd guess Kim goes through catharsis during each performance. Maybe our area can get to know the family. Hope. Hope.
Beth Coppedge, I must say, presents a message in what I would call "sweet power" that I would trust can move the hardest heart. God bless her.
Then the Methodist fish fry tonight. Ah! what a day!
