10/03/2005: "Old Salt and Success"
In MNID, Old Salt wanted to define being successful and offered that making $100,000 a year was the mark of success, and I added my two cents worth......

>Well first off we need to agree on what "successful" means. To
>me any one with an income of $100,000 or better per year.
You can't buy a house in parts of California on $100,000 a year; you
can bank $75,000 a year in KY on that amount, if you are frugal.
To me, parts of being a success are never having been in jail, nor any
of your kids; raising kids to be self-sufficient (if you have kids);
being able to wake up in the morning and not having to wonder what's
to eat or which bill to pay and which to let slide; waking up each
morning with somebody near you who is dear to you, who loves you as
unconditionally as you do them; being able to look in the mirror and
know you have accomplished something in your life.
