11/02/2007: "~ I uploaded a driver ~"

Now this won't matter to most people, but I want to be able to find the driver again, so....

Buffalo Technology WLI-U2-KG54-YB Driver



These are inexpensive USB wireless devices that are being sold without their drivers. Some have Yahoo!BB on them, so I am assuming when Yahoo! went to wireless, they were giving them as free gifts or including them with their networking packages.

Anyway, I bought a couple to use in the shop and they came without drivers. Supposedly they are innate to winXP, but the machine I first wanted to use one on had winME. So I went to hunting and testing, and finally came up with the combination and method to make it work correctly. I uploaded it to driverguide.com for others to use. I have over the years downloaded tons from them, so was glad to be able to give back for once.

okay. done with this one. see me soon when I need to put it on the next machine and can't find the cd I saved it on. ;-)
