02/25/2009: "~ Mom is leaving... ~"

Yes, I anticipate this may be Mom's last day here. I told her I'd see her in the morning, which many will recognize as part of a song...... just about dawning.......





Anyway, this was a day for tears as I reflect on the past six weeks.....

Six weeks ago I took Mom to her therapy (for the hip replacement) then shopping, then we all went out to eat, then Mom and I went to choir practice. She was tired when she went to bed, but who would have imagined the rapid decline that would follow her seizure that night?

A week later we were promised probably three weeks, maybe up to six months. Sister #4 was able to accept Mom AND Dad into her home as a permanent arrangement. Little did we know Mom's permanency would be a mere six weeks. No telling on Dad's now. I'm sure he is heartbroken.

Tomorrow we head over for a last visit.... y'all please bear with me, and I'll be back to work soon.
