From the introduction of Extremely Blessed by Rev. Jonathan P. Althoff
So many times we see things in our lives and we wonder if we have a way to make our lives better or how to change our world.
Rather than finding a key to unlock the door, we settle for discussing the problems behind the door and how nice it would be if we could open it.
We wind up with powerless lives and empty faith that seeks its supreme reward one day in the future.
But, what if all this could change and we could open that door? What if we could minister to the world and fulfill the ministry of Jesus Christ?
What would you say if I told you we can? These are not empty words or false promises from a man you dont know,
but come directly from the author and finisher of our faith, Jesus Christ.
I searched for this blessing for many years, not knowing exactly what I was searching to find.
It was in a small group bible study that the word came clear to me in December 2005.
During the study I realized something special was happening.
By the end of it, I was so ecstatic that I felt almost too joyful.
One person in attendance said "This is deep!" I muttered my agreement as I was too moved for words.
Another spoke up and said, "This is incredible stuff!"
It was then I knew that this was being received by more than just me.
I shared it with a larger group the next day.
I was not sure it was being received until one person spoke up saying, "I can't take anymore, this is too good!"
It isn't "too good" at all!
It is perfect and wonderful and from Jesus Christ.
It challenges each person that has heard it at their level.
It isn't in heaven that we can't get to it and it isn't so far across the sea that we can't reach it.
It is in our hearts and minds, written there by the hand of God.
It is accessible, it is available now.
What is it?
It is the complete and total joy God has for us in Jesus....
