Tomorrow Dukey has to go back to the shelter. Waah! He's been so good this weekend, but at seven weeks (I can here Dr St Clair laughing all the way down here) he's already bigger than Princess was at four months. A lab just won't do it in this yard. But he sure is sweet and somebody is going to get a really wonderful puppy...........

things I will remember about Dukey is the hugging my arm so tight when I held him; the purring when I petted him; playing roley-poley down the hill; rescuing the duck; crawling through the fence, and pulling the plug when Daddy tried to keep him in; his joy over pooping; his warm wet kisses. Bye, Dukey. Mama loves you. You'll find another sweet mama who has kids for you.
