12/19/2001 Archived Entry: "Pup can't walk"
Poor Bootsie. I feel so sorry for him. He can't walk.......
all he can do is run. He will run if it is just three feet between us. What a happy and excited pup! He knows the jiggle of the handle means Dad (or Mom) is going out, and he surely loves out!
He taught Snickers to use the doggy door, but the only thing is, he sits on the other side waiting for her and she has to hiss her way through. He is a very good teacher. It would have taken us years to teach her that!
Bootsie says: Speaking of Snickers, she isn't a very good playmate. A guy tries to chase her and she won't run, a guy brings her squeaky and she won't play with it. She also walks across the bones and a guy has to go get them and bury them someplace else. What a chore. There is so much to do every day. We wanted to help Dad do some welding, but Dad made us go in the house. Wonder why? Then all I got to do is chase squeakball for practically an hour. Mom kept saying something about not believing I only weigh 12 pounds and how strong I am. So I jump up and lick her all over to thank her for noticing.
So far Mr Boots hasn't eaten through any more wires, but then he hasn't been in the computer shop for long. Gaskets and things seem to be satisfying enough for now. Also, Bootsie brings his toys in at night and takes them out in the day. Doggie doors are very nice things to have.
P.S. don't tell him but he's going to the groomer for a smell good bath Friday. He has company coming.
