I did it. I'm outta there. Mostly. Keeping the one mindspring main email address with the limited account for my emergencies and so that I can get my newsgroups, but I've switched. I've really done it. I've switched to OOL. When their newsgroups come up, might even drop it.
Kewl, as they say. Why? to save money, of course. ELNK local numbers are too slow to suit me, and we aren't paying for the extended calling anymore. OOL has a better connect because of the v90, where local ELNK is only 33.6. I've noticed that with my customers, and decided to go with it myself.

Have another cost cutting thingy... 1010-811 for long distance. Sure there are all those extra numbers to dial but I only pay 5 cents a minute, 24/7, in state or out of state, with no monthly fees, and the only added cost other than taxes is a 10 minute minimun charge...50 cents!...per call. I have yet to make a call less than 10 minutes except when I get someone's answering machine. Bill runs usually under $20 a month. I have the "800" number if you want details.
