Can you really save people? Can you save them from all the troubles they have?

Am I obliged to help people just because they ask? or because they don't ask but have this pitiful sad puppy look? Where is the line? Does this line of questioning sound any bit familiar? heh!

So, anyway, sometimes it is hard for me to refrain from taking over for people who are helpless. Then I think they are not helpless and I should not treat them as if they are. I'm getting better. I don't like people to treat me as if I'm helpless. So, treat others as I want to be treated. okay. go figure once again, huh?
